Founding Statement of the Hands-Off Iran Coalition
We launch the Hands-Off Iran Coalition at a moment of grave peril. Since 28 February, the US and Israel have waged an unlawful and unprovoked war of aggression against Iran. Iran is being attacked because of its historic support for Palestinian liberation and for challenging the normalisation of Zionist ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide. This brutal aggression, which has already seen numerous war crimes against the civilian population and infrastructure, is causing international turmoil. It has already become a regional crisis and risks escalating into a global, even nuclear, conflict.
Our Mission
Mobilise
Mobilise global opposition to the genocidal threat against Iran.
Justice
Demand accountability through the ICC and a People’s Tribunal to prosecute Trump and Hegseth for war crimes and threats of genocide.
Solidarity
Build an international solidarity network of antiwar, peace, and civil society organisations, Iranian-led and globally supported.
Amplify
Amplify the voices of the Iranian people in opposing imperialism.
Call to Action
The two-week ceasefire is a pause, not a resolution. The threat remains. We call on all people of conscience to join the Hands-Off Iran Coalition.
The world failed to stop the genocide in Gaza. We must not repeat that failure in Iran.
